A Prized Posession
Just wanted to quickly share with you all something that God has been speaking to me about.
And it’s about recognising ... or better still... acknowledging and accepting that we are His prized possessions!
Below is the prayer I wrote for our Morning Triumphs prayer group and it’s helped me relate more to the fact that God truly does see and care about all we‘re Going through.
We are His prized possessions so if you find yourself in a relationship that is not good for you and the guy is not treating you right, ask yourself if a prized possession of the Most High God should be in such a situation.
... The answer is NO!
If you need to leave... make sure you leave! And DON’T go back! For others it may not necessarily mean that you need to leave ... but that SOMETHING has to CHANGE. You don’t have to give up on that person who isn’t treating you right but you should pray for him and speak to him about how you feel and what you expect from the relationship. If that’s something he simply can’t subscribe to (treating you right, helping you, working together)... then it’s over lol!
And if you’re trusting God for that special relationship that will lead to marriage, Jeep on being faithful to Him. Remember you are His prized Posession and your needs and His blessings for you are close to His heart. He doesn’t want to see you marry wrong.
Remember the story of the sword in the stone? That sword was such a special prize that not just anyone could pull it out of the stone to use it. Only the right man, fit and worthy of the prize was able to take it - the one who would know how to master it, handle it with care, treasure it, not misuse it or treat it as a prop to hold a door open when it’s to be used as a mighty tool in great battles!
Don’t sell yourself short for ANYONE! See yourself as that prized Posession like that sword and know that because you are so precious to God, your case is on His heart. Draw near to Him and stay there with Him. Don‘t drift away or turn your back on Him. He’s guarding you and waiting with you as the man that He himself has ordained to be your husband is making his way to draw that sword from the stone.
You’re a prized Posession.
“...And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.”
James 1:18 NLT
Thank You Jesus for making me Your prized possession. Help me to walk in that calling and to always realise my worth in You. I speak against any spirit of confusion and everything that is contrary to what You have called me to be. I declare that I am a prized possession in You and I operate in that identity. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen
